GreatCanadianHotels.com is a registered domain name owned and operated by SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, L.P. SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts manages over 30 hotels and resorts across Canada. SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts franchises 12 different brands and operates independent hotels too, see Question 5 below. 2. Is my credit card transaction safe?

Reservations are made through iHotelier, a third party reservations company. The personal Information collected by iHotelier Web Sites is stored on servers that are protected by firewalls and other standard security procedures. iHotelier uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software which encrypts information you submit, and takes other measures to prevent unauthorized access to confidential information. The secure servers are not generally accessible by unauthorized third parties but you should be aware that iHotelier cannot give an absolute guarantee or assurance in this regard. You should also remain mindful that, as with all e-mail sent via the Internet, your information may be intercepted. You acknowledge that iHotelier and or SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts will not be responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet, and you release us from any claims arising out of or related to the use of intercepted information in any unauthorized manner.

5. There are many different hotels on this website, what is the affiliation with the national hotel brands?

SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts is one of Canada's top performing hotel and resort management companies with a focus on mid-market and upscale full-service hotels and extended-stay properties. 6. What are the check-in/check-out times?

Hotels have a standard check-in time beginning at 3 or 4pm (varies by hotel), and check-out time before 11am or 12noon, (varies by hotel). Special arrangements can be made to store luggage or for late-check out depending on availability. Contact the hotel directly to confirm times and to make any other special arrangements.

7. Do you allow pets?

Some pets are allowed in some hotels for an additional charge. Please contact the hotel directly to determine costs and policies.

8. What is the exchange rate?

All rates are quoted in Canadian dollars unless specified. Please visit your bank for today's currency exchange or go to www.xe.net/ucc/

9. Are the hotels wheelchair accessible?

Each hotel has wheelchair accessible rooms in various room categories. Contact the hotels directly for specific details.

10. Are there standard programs for families at your hotels?

Our family programs and services are designed to ensure families are comfortable at our hotels and to assist in making your family vacations fun. Many of our branded hotels offer the brands' proprietary family programs. At all of our hotels, at no extra charge, you will find special kids check-in, free welcome package, things to do, kids eat free programs, and some basic necessities in case of emergencies. 11. What environmental practices are in place at the hotels?

SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts is the first major hotel group in Canada to have all its hotel properties achieve a Three-Green Leaf or higher certification under the Hotel Association of Canada's Green Leaf Eco-rating program. 12. Are there fridges & microwaves available?

All hotels have suites with fridges or microwaves. If you would like a room with this amenity please indicate so at the time of the booking your reservation.

13. Is there a life guard for the pool?

Hotels do not employ lifeguards for general hotel pool operations. In some hotels, pools with waterslides have hours of operation with lifeguards. In all cases, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Individuals swimming or participating in activities in the pool, do so at their own risk.
